I did it at church and school too. The church ones were unmemorable though. I usually ended up being an angel. Okay, I was Mary one year, but only because I was the oldest girl there, and the rest were too young. But, even with that, we dressed up in costumes for church, did a couple of things during mass, and that was it.
Now, my most memorable Christmas concert at school was in 6th grade. We had the 4th through 6th grade choir members doing a medly of songs and adding in stupid little dances and little things here and there. One segment involved bringing the Christmas tree on stage and placing it in the center. There was really no direction to it, so kids were standing or sitting all over the stage, and they were in the way. The tree got as far as it could on the stage, before the kids bringing it on gave up. After that, one of the 5th graders decided to push it to center it more, and it fell over. Then kids were trying to get it up again, when it finally broke into 3 pieces. Of course, after all that chaos, I had a line to say, which was "Now that's more like it," in response to the tree being out, and other decorations on stage. Of course, that had to be the most ridiculous line after what happened and everyone was laughing on stage.
