Rayna!!!! I've been here on PC for quite a while, at least 4 or maybe 5 years, and I did not understand your absence was due to these health problems resulting in blindness. Your feedback, during all the time I've been here on PC has always been inspiring and helpful to me. You probably even helped me thru the initial crisis which brought me here those years ago. You are even more of an inspiration to me now.

About the crochet. I LOVE to crochet, and find that I can do it without really looking at my hands. I only use the one stitch...single crochet, and I make funky hats and shawls, which I'm selling at our WV State premier venue called "Tamarack." I don't like any complicated crochet patterns, not good at reading and following them anyway, and I don't like the way they look in the finished pieces, so the single crochet is my favorite.
Many years ago, when I lived in the state of Virginia, there was a blind woman who made the most wonderful crocheted purses, selling them at art fairs. I always so admired her work, wishing I could do it. For me, crocheting is the best relaxing outlet.

Love
Patty
