I've heard a lot of people say that crochet helped their hands. Especially when I wasn't online for seven months, not typing my hands got bad. I started just messing with scrap yarn, tried to start a granny square and ended up with six sides LOL, so now thats my scrap yarn piece. I just "scrump", leaving loose ends hanging. I had joined a crochet forum before I went blind, crochetville.com. Very fun site. I don't think I remember my login info so I won't try to log back in for now lol.
