People who suffer with Dissociative Identity Disorder are not possessed by demons. 
I certainly understand where the ignorance enters because the phenomena of switching, especially with a complete lack of connection to thoughts, memories, perceptions and experiences, can appear to be "unbelievable" to the untrained observer. Often the DID person has a personality construct who in their "protector" mode can be quite angry and evil in their presentation.
God created such a complex brain! It's a miracle that occurs- that fragmenting- that allows for coping with horrific trauma.
