I know mine goes to some of the same places as me, and I'm not looking out in hope I see him, more in worry that he's around. I'm not sure what I'm scared of, maybe knowing what to say if others are around.
My T knows a few of the same people that I know/knew. They were all acquaintances and not friends or anything (that would be creepy). We don't travel in the same social circles or anything. It is actually unusual that my T and I would know so many of the same acquaintances and places. I would find it uncomfortable with anyone other than my current T, but it's really helpful

However, because of the unique circumstances I am in I have found that his inner knowledge of the people and places in my life actually have been therapeutic. I deal with some complex situations so knowledge of certain key people and places is beneficial for me as it creates greater understanding for the problems I deal with. He is better able to help that way. It's cool. If I saw my T out and about somewhere, I probably wouldn't say hi or anything unless he saw me and we were both by ourselves. I'm not scared of seeing T out and about, but I don't want to make either myself or T uncomfortable with knowledge of what should be personal or what have you.

One time without either of our knowledge, T and I were both out of town at the exact same place at the exact same time. We did not see each other and it was both really funny to find out in session that we had both spent our time over the weekend doing the exact same things at the exact same place, in a different city hundreds of miles away. Weird!
