Anyway, I have to bore you with a description of my bathroom in order to know what I did. My house is very very old and the people that I bought it from never did things "right"--they rigged them as best they could to get by. That includes the bathroom. The bathtub has the tub surround panels you can buy and apply with adhesive--halfway up the wall. The other half is----wallpaper. In the shower. So of course it has started to peel and looks horrible and the panel has started to pull away from the wall and it just is awful. So yesterday I went to Menards to get some adhesive to glue it back on until I can afford to replace it and some caulk. Didn't even have a thought about how to fix the wallpaper yet, but wanted to get the panel up. I also got rust remover to remove the rust water stains from the faucet. So I got the panel glued and nailed back up. Then I started looking and thought, "hmm, I'll just take this wall paper down" and I did--all 5 layers!!! There's still 1 layer up!!!! Anyway, I was just tearing it down left and right, happy as can be. Caulked what needed caulked, though it's not a pretty job at all. Put the shower curtain back up, looked at what I had done and started bawling. It is horrible. There are areas where there is still some of one of the various layers of wallpaper so there are all different colors, the caulk looks like a 5 year old did it. I have nothing to put up so the wall is close to being drywall--in a SHOWER!! I can't believe I did that!! I am really freaking out now. Not only because my shower is horrible and such, but because I just did it and didn't even think!!
