Yesterday and the day before have been a nightmare here but they ended up ok. Two days ago the landlord decided i was satan and had to move out immediately. She said the reason was i dont work, im not on the lease(its been 2+ years and ive always lived here the whole time) and one of the realtors said they possibly smelled marijuana(who me?). Luckily my girlfriend was able to come with me when i went back home. The landlord had taken my knife collection and the gamecube as well. We called the cops and she had to give the gamecube back but apparently she felt threatened by the knives so the cops said they had to be kept elsewhere. How she feels threatened by me i have no idea. I dont talk to the woman because she makes me crazy angry. I think ive said about 10 words total to her in the 2+ years. Anyway we ignored her kicking me out as its not legally binding just cause she said so(cop agreed).
So the next day we get home and the landlord comes over AGAIN and gives my girlfriend a letter saying we had to be out by midnight that day. That she *might* allow the kids to stay while we find a new place. We called her son who actually owns the place and explained to him what his mom was doin(she seems about as crazy as i am). So then she calls back several hours later saying we dont have to then at midnight(not like we were going to anyway but im sure the cops appreciated not having to come out).
The part that is buggin me is even tho we are moving by May 15th, what if this stuff just keeps happening. Constantly making up things and flipping out. The stress of her the last two days has driven everyone in the house completely bonkers. I mean possibly being homeless even if we could all find friend or family to be with isnt nice. I know the law is on our side but my dad being a cop growing up relying on them is less than comforting. Feel like the clock is ticking til her next meltdown and my heart is getting weak. What would you do in this situation? Girlfriend is calling the housing coalition here on monday and possibly getting an attorney to force her to leave us alone(if possible). Anything else? When it comes to the landlord i dont care if its low or dirty either, i want her to pay.
