No no no, don't jump to conclusions. People say "see you later" and don't follow up for a variety of reasons, and that happens very often (I can't believe how much people not serious there is out there ).
So YOU make contact and see what happens.
As a general rule it is better to only say about depression to persons who can understand, who know what depression actually is. But there may be no problem in this case. Check out for yourself.
