it is software that lets you log and share your symptoms with professionals. it can print reports of your sleep schedule, emotional triggers, etc.
using optimism software can help you on a regime of managing your symptoms and triggers for depression. it can help you be proactive in your recovery. of course that takes work. owning this software of itself won't make you depression-free anymore than merely owning anti-virus software secures a computer---you have to use it and try to understand what it can do for you.
