I think natural hormones are the way to go, if you can...but that article talks about low cortisol levels....
I don't have fibromyalgia, but do have chronic pain and stress disorders. My cortisol levels are quite low. However, I recently read that, though cortisol levels might be below "normal" in pain patients, they are still "too high" for some people who are hypersensitive to cortisol. Can't recall where I was reading though.

Yes I read about the connect in Dr. Vliet's Screaming to be Heard. I'm fascinated by the connection between hormones and other illnesses.
I am suffering from adrenal fatigue right now, as well as low female hormones, iron defiiciency, and feel drained every day. The problem is finding physicians that treat adenals and thyroid, another deficiency. Most doctors don't believe in adrenal fatigue unless it is Addisons or Cushings Disease....heavy sigh!
I'm more of a mess than I knew...now on to getting treated... Definitely going with natural hormones!!!
