hey don't beat yourself up over this.  you handled it well in spite of adversity. when i get blamed for something i didn't do sometimes i don't handle the situation as well as you did. you did it with dignity. when you spoke to your boss "I don't know what you want from me unless you tell me" that was awesome. ...and i don't think you're an idiot by a long shot. sounds like to me you handled it well altho you had a physical reaction...wouldn't we all have?
here's a  . now hold your head high at work tomorrow. you are not a bad person. be more gentle to yourself. you deserve that.
