Skee another good study is on B vitamins and what happens when we are lacking them! Depression, pain... wow.
One very fast way to see if you lack B vitamins (my own POV) is to drink an UNFILTERED beer. Chock full of B vitamins. (The regular filtered beers (not near beers) do have some B vitamins, but you have to drink alot of them )
Good nutrition is SO VERY IMPORTANT and many doctors don't keep track for you...the MD might not even check nutrition, and of course the psychiatrist rarely considers anything but drugs. Many hospitals in USA have a full time nutritionist. IT's well worth the small fee to see one. If you do, be very honest with him/her so they can find you where you are and send you the right way. They help with hormone issues too, btw... naturally through foodstuffs.

EPO (evening primrose oil) does wonders! As does blue or black cohosh (depending on your age.) I'm not a medical doctor though, so make sure nothing you want to try interferes with your MDs plans.
