I know how much fun cramps can be, but mine are magnified by endometriosis (at least I have a sneak preview at childbirth labor pains yee-haw). As far as the hang-over...I rarely drink, and when I do, it's top-shelf all the way (done already had my partying days on cheep alcohol...no more stomach for the cheap stuff).
