I have Delusional disorder. But think I may have experienced signs of schizophrenia?

I resigned from my job last week, couldn't handle it. My boss left me a message on my phone asking about some work I hadn't handed over. I interpetted it as if he was accusing me of sharing confidential information with another company. I only asked for some help from brother-in-law about a document I had to write.

Anyway, I decided to read my contract of employment, when I read it, I couldn't beleive I had signed the contract. They had control over my life, I had been taped, they were tapping into my phone calls, I wasn't allowed to travel abroad, I was liable for any losses to the business, and that any foul play on my behalf would be shared with the media. I thought the CIO was going to get me for breaching my contract.

I couldn't move from my bed, I was shaking with fear. Every paranoid thought I had during the last few weeks, all came together and made sense.

Eventually I decided to read the contract agian, it was like it was a different document all together, none of what I read before was there, then I began to think someone was in the house and had swapped the document when I wasn't looking, so I decided to go and check if someone was there (no-one was) but as I entered the room I got a flash in my vision as if I was being struck by something. I also thought that my boss had connections with the CIO (I heard him mention the CIO) and that the message he left had been swapped.

I was doomed! people are really out to get me!!!

I have never had this happen before, but have had persecutary delusions for 18 months now. Is this Schizphrenia rearing its head?
