You know I am not one known for my run away emotions so I am thinking perhaps this conversation goes over my head but what the heck here are my thoughts.

To me the author is asking the other to take one more chance. To see that even through the pain and hurt that often accompanies caring and love...there is a beauty to it. Something to be cherished. Asking them to try one more time and to remember the wonders they felt before the pain came previously. Reminding them that perhaps this time it "could be alright".

I think people who have been hurt repeatedly find it very hard to show emotions. To make themselves vulnerable and exposed to more pain is more than their comfort level can stand. It takes a great person to get them to even try to show caring and need again.

So with that I will defer to your very well put final vein...that this song may be a form of celebration and encouragement... that even though there is pain connected to relationships... the risk of this pain may be worth having the ability to feel love and being loved.
