hun, my guess is that the alters (who are from a certain time period that is in the past but is the current present for them) exibit the symptoms also from that time. So when they go, the symptoms also go. Which is a relief in some ways.... i mean... the symptoms - tho real - are not permanent. when we heal the alters, chances are good we will heal the symptoms.
