Dear Orange Blossom,
I liked the preview of the united states of tara. Probably mainly as I liked the actors. I know it really does stretch the boundaries to make DID look fun, something that we know isn't true and those close to us know that reality as well. In my experience DID is painful, embarrassing and something that severely impacts on my daily life.
At least the show will raise awareness of the problem and maybe help to open a general discussion of the still well hidden plight of many. Sybil went to one extreme and maybe this show will take it to the other? At some point the pendulum will swing back so maybe its a good thing? I suppose we will just have to wait and see.
