hey there, my aussie friend!! i'm sorry you are feeling lonely today. it's hard when our kids grow up and fly the coop,etc. guess one of the things you can look forward to is when they return. i had a rough time when my son went into the military some moons ago. i realized after having a rather stern talk with myself cause i had "empty nest syndrone" that it wasn't like he wasn't ever coming home again, he was just getting on with his own life. then i reflect back when my mom was a young widow and got to see each of children grow up and move on...i'm glad that i was attentive to her when time would allow. don't know if it mattered that much to her, probably did, but it made me feel good to try to perk her up a bit. sooo.. please try not to be sad...they're just getting on with it, just like we did.
are you able to get about, daggy? it helps me to fill my world up with friends. sometimes i just take a walk in the neighborhood and say hello to people i see. another thing that really helps me when i'm down, is to help someone else. it may not be much, a phone call to say how are they doin'? or help a friend by babysitting so she can go shopping. i don't know your situation but i hope these ideas may spark something in your mind.
