I'll go along with the 'low voltage current' description, and I hope that the bolt of lightning is a rare event. It has been for me.
My belief is that we can gradually train ourselves to diminish the feeling, with help.
I always thought that we could never really describe the feelings of anxiety, that it was too subjective and private, but posters here have changed my mind about that. I think that we are describing the same phenomena.
I hoep it gets easier for you, Greygoose, you're certainly not alone.
