thanks for asking about the dogs...one is a pure basset hound (the picture)...and the other is a basset/english setter mix....both are rescues...the younger one (the purebred) is 3 is from staten island, nyc and the other is from tennesse and is 9.

the older one enjoys camping and hiking while the younger one panics if he isn't on a sidewalk and can't hear traffic...they are opposites but brothers now never the less. and together they ground me but make me crazy too!

concussions are slow healing..think about the football and hockey players who sometimes are forced to retire due to multiple concussions and the long term effects they cause. when you hit your head the brain sloshes back and forth inside the skull and it bruises...and those bruises take time to heal.
