Yesterday, I started thinking about stuff I really don't need to bother with (my ex, need I say more?) and I got that dread in the pit of my stomach, tingly fingertips, didn't want to sit still feeling that was going to totally mess up my work day.

I decided to brew some kava kava tea, even though I was worried it would make me groggy (and I was tired to begin with). Thankfully, it didn't.

The description on the box says it promotes a state of "relaxed unconcern" while compromising neither mental functions nor clarity of thought when used appropriately.

I have to say it did exactly what it purports. I actually felt more awake after drinking it. I don't know if the act of making and drinking the tea helped relax me or if the ingredients were the catalyst, but the end result was what I was hoping for just the same.

Just thought I'd share. You can get it in any large grocery store that has a big natural food section. $5 for 16 bags.
