Do the best you can. Keep the truth there for yourself, this is about your SLPs mom, not yours.

However, some of your sadness could be from your "knowing" that you, too, will probably lose your mom one day. Think about what you would like to do and say with her now, before it's too late. Listen to the conversations your SLP and you have, and see if she has any regrets or affirmations of what she did or didn't say or do.

I think you're already doing some of this.
