Human cruelty seems to peak in the teen years. Don't let the jerks keep you from getting your diploma. Once you are out of there, they are gone from your life. Good riddance. If you go to college you will be pleasantly surprised that one summer out of high school makes for a quantum leap in maturity. There are always going to be some exceptions, but abuse is much rarer and not so personally directed.
