I generally find it better to see a psychologist that works under a psychiatrist and has prescription authorization. The psychologist cost about half as much per hour. GP's can be a problem as they deal more with home medicine. I think specialists cover the territory better. The psychiatrist or psychologist may be beneficial in getting past medications and actually eliminating the anxiety.
