That can be so. I don't know about your friend, but I know that this is at least partly true for my BF. The guy I met, the guy I live with is the "public face" of The Core. They're the same, but not.

And that electrical stuff? That doesn't have to be just about DID. I've had some very bizarre electrical phenomenon happen around me before - all the way from flickering lights to an unplugged TV coming on (during a fight) to an apartment that didn't have electricity for three weeks (when I was really suicidal). Weird messages flashing on the microwave timer. All sorts of stuff. It doesn't happen as much as often anymore...

It can be hard to tell when people are being "real" or not. It's possible they don't even know themselves. Maybe it's just that hearing or reading about some idea or process that can trigger the actual event.
