I have to say LOL to this, Deepblue...I feel much the same.
But also please know, I'm not making light of your reaction and response to this public display of affection. It's very real, and a result of our having experienced hurtful rejection(s).
On one level, such public displays are in very bad taste. On another level, it's biological...two people publicly displaying the mating ritual. We are just animals, no more than the lower species in these matters.
I no longer even SEE it, to be quite honest. I think it's a matter of attuning oneself to the surroundings, what is important.
If I were to meet a "mate" in the future, such behavior would have to be private.
