I know! This process sometimes feels like it takes sooo long. I get frustrated too.
I found these release points really very helpful, though. I understand the reasons behind them working too, even though I have a little difficulty being clear about it here.
When I get released and relieved I can carry on with the inner therapy process. I used to have such a build up of tension before I tried this. It was like, before trying these release points, I needed another session just to get rid of the built up body pain, ahhhh! Too, too much.
Here is a bit of a quote from the website. Although there is no mention of neck pain I know that there are release points for more than mentioned here:
"the three main OEI techniques of “Switching”, “Sweeping”, and “Glitch Massaging”...great additions to...“release points” for relief from chest compression (hyperventilation & cessation of breathing), throat constriction (often associated with panic attacks) and nausea."
