My neice who has mental health issues herself has a few children, one of them a girl called Alaska also has mental health issues and has since a baby (and no we didnt know it till she was three or four) when she was eight, she complained to social services about her mum, they used to come to the house often to help my neice, Alasaka told them that when they was not there her mum would beat her severly and although she bought all the other children toys she never bought her any.

The downfall of Alaskas stroy was the toys, as my neice told the social worker to go look in Alaskas bedroom it was full to bursting with toys appropiate to her age.

If it had not been for the toys my neice would of been in serious trouble as Alaska was VERY convincing, with tears and shaking you name it that child did it.

She is now fourteen or so and has often tries to get her mum into trouble just because she has not got her own way in somthing or other, the difference now is that Alaska goes to a boarding school and is closely monitered so they know this is not the case its just her being her again.

Somthing has to be done to protect the adults god fobid that children should suffer but it seems to of gone too far now.

With it ending up with homes/familys smashed and everyone suffering on the say so of one child, they dont seem to take a look at the family as a whole they just seem to jump in with both very large feet.

They had no intention of asking Alaskas siblings if any of this was true it took my neice practicaly dragging the social worker to her bedroom to prove the child was lieing even though they KNEW she had mental health issues.
