I am new to this board but not to depression. My mother committed suicide in 2003, she had MS and Colon CA and she was very depressed, then my father died of Lung CA in 2007, and my sister and I took care of him. Something I feel "broke" in me when my mom committed suicide and I have never been the same since. I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and I have adult ADD. I have been on so many combo's of antidepressants and found that the Wellbutrin/Prozac combo was the best for me for awhile and now I get no relief yet again. I am back to crying all the time, sleeping all the time, sad thoughts, lack of self worth, etc. My doctor wanted me to try Pristiq but reading some side effects it scared me and I really wanted to get some good input before I tried it. It is the 50mg starter pack. I am also on Clonazepam 0.5mg BID and that helps as well. Let me know what you think and I am glad I found this place!!
