Has your doc considered Zyprexa or Topamax? Topamax won't make you stupid (it didn't me the whole 18 months I was on it). Depending on dose, Zyprexa may knock you for a loop (I was at 20mg). I was also on Strattera when I was on the Zyprexa, and the two seemed to blend nicely.

Just a couple of other meds I was put on as mood stabilizers. Topamax was the only one for a long time, until the Paxil CR pooped out, then it was "HELLO, MANIA!!"
