I have bipolar II and my brother has atypical bipolar. I tend to turn my anger inward towards myself. I'm not sure how old your son is... my brother is 19. He has very, very big anger issues, and for years it has been threatening to tear our family apart. Since your son just started, it may take a while for the meds to fully take effect. Therapy helps you to make important life and behavioral changes.

My brother's anger issues are still very strong, and a lot of that anger is caused by his frustration that his brain is working on maximum speed ALL the time. So I do understand... I'm here if you need to talk.
