Okay, well, I posted a month or so about the "Antivirus 2009" virus for which I was charged around $50. This was a pure virus designed to get money from unsuspecting people like me. I disputed the charge on my credit card bill, which showed up as being from Moscow, Russia. I followed a fellow member's advice here and filed a complaint thru the WV State Attorney General's office of consumer protection. Prior to resorting to this, I had disputed the charge repeatedly with the GM Mastercard company, and all I got back was "not enough information" provided and they were going to go ahead and give my money to these criminals. Even yesterday, I rec'd an email from the GM Card company saying they were going to pay the Russians. Today, however, I rec'd a letter from the credit card company saying they had reimbursed my account for the amount they had paid, and apologizing for the inconvenience. The Attorney General's office did something, and saved me the expense. I feel vindicated.
