Even though I have a really strong personality I tend to avoid conflict and can victimize myself by not making those calls I need to. I was recently pretty hormonal and acted unlike myself and being very assertive at exactly the right time. I feel a bit bad about how the recieving person felt about it but it was the right thing to do and that makes me happy, overwhelming the sadness that I was kind of a "nuisance", to use your word.
