Ativan isn't a "crazy med" if you're referring to that. It has nothing to do with mental illness—it’s used for many things. Don't feel bad about taking it if you equate it with mental illness. I had a primary doc put me on it last May when I decided to go off Effexor cold-turkey and ended up in urgent care. I was a mess with anxiety and being too afraid to get out of bed because I felt like I wasn't thinking straight. My thoughts were racing, I was afraid to move, I couldn't sleep. Ativan took care of all of it. It made the “crazy” me go away.
Whatever you're doing is working. Humor the grand’s a bit. It will be good for you, too.
