there are many reasons we feel depressed.
can you identify what feelings you had
just before the depression started? also i keep a daily journal about my day and what i am feeling. it might help you to write these thoughts down. when you see your T you can share the journal with him/her. many times a T can offer us
coping skills to help us when the depression occurs.
another good thing to do is to
exercise cause it helps the good brain chemicals to activate. it also gives us more energy!! it's a challenge to actually get up and do something, i know, but even a small effort can bring some element of success.
are there some
things you enjoy doing when you are not depressed? you might try doing one of those things...like taking a walk, reading if you can while depressed, or watching a tv show. any activity takes the focus off the depression and gives our minds time to rest.
