I do the exact same thing - I try to find information on the internet before I go someplace new.
I was lucky because my T has a website with pictures of herself, her office and all her furniture, as well as a description of her background and experience. I knew exactly what to expect when I went there. (although she had cut her hair shorter)

But the last partial program I was referred to had NO information on the internet, and I was really scared to go.

I like Echoes' suggestion to call and find out as much as you can.
Or maybe you can pop over there before your scheduled appt to at least find out what it looks like from the outside?
