if you are able to get access to a therapist, it never hurts (unless you're just so busy spending an extra hour a week or so will stress you out wayyyy too much)
I don't know about you, but for me when I felt that nothingness... there was really stuff I couldn't feel brewing deep down inside. I hated the nothingness, but I hated the pain too.
Spacing out... blankness... yes it does sound like it could be the tip of the iceberg.
the nice thing about having a therapist, is if anything gets worse you have a support there, if everything stays the same, she/he can still help. so I guess, I hope you can get to therapy just incase

and I really hope it's nothing too bad I don't want you to suffer
Also, one thing that might help : try getting your feelings out whenever you can, even little ones, if you're upset, try ranting about it in an journal, or to a friend, or here on the forums. That will help. Sounds odd... but getting feelings out is VERY important.
