I know that it must feel that way and you have evidence telling you that is true; I have certainly felt that way. It must feel in a way like now that you are ready to do the work necessary you can't find the help that you need.
I don't know what your hopes and dreams are but maybe you can write them down and break it down on what to more manageable goals. If finding a therapist is one of your top priorities and there are none available are there other people in the field that could be of some assistance right now?
If moving is important to you do you know where you want to go and have you defined that. I went through a period where I was looking for a psychiatrist to prescribe meds, it seemed like even outside of Boston I could not find one. It's kinda funny now b/c there are so many but a few years later when I looked back at why it was b/c I had all these preconceived ideas of what that person should do and I was only asking a select group of people. Although they were qualified people it was not enough.
When I finally told more people - not about the situation but that I was looking for someone who had experience, I was able to find one. I don't know what your insurance is and it might be random but could you look in the provider book or online and find some people. Just call them randomly and see if they are accepting new patients. I know that might not be possible and you may need to talk to a lot of people before you find one but you don't need to suffer with this. Yes, there might be challenges but if you want to overcome there are solutions, you just might need to get creative in finding them.
