just a pondering thing..

does it also sometimes give you a weird pain/spasm in your jaw on either side? I was told that this is a form of TMJ when certain foods(usually strongly sweet/sour or other strong taste) gives you sort of a weird pain in your jaw.

Might have something to do with that?

Or maybe your toungue likes chocolate so much that it focuses on that sense only and accidentally blocks your hearing
