I just wanted to say that I used to have paralysis episodes like that and it is very terrifying. One I remember the most was when I was in the hospital after childbirth. I woke up in the middle of the night with this--paralyzed, unable to breathe, unable to move except my eyes. At that moment you don't think you're going to be able to make yourself breathe! There was a nurse at the other side of the other bed but I couldn't even speak to call out. And if I had then I would have been breathing, so wouldn't have needed her after all I guess. I still have that mental picture of the dim room, her sillouette against the window and the intense fear. I think the anesthesia (saddle block) was a factor, as does alcohol and other central nervous system depressants.
I'm glad you're getting evaluated so you can get help with this.
