I'm a smoker who lives in Kentucky. Must every you go someone in smoking. So I know it has to be hard for someone with breathing problems. Just politely ask them to refrane from smoking while around you. I myself would respect that person. But I live in a tobacco growing state and some people here would be offended if you asked them to stop smoking. All I can say is Good Luck.
