there is a support forum below this one for personality disorders (titled "the personality place") but feel free to keep posting here too, because schizotypal and schizophrenia are very similar.

I've read that in the UK, schizotypal PD is simply called "schizotypal Disorder" It is not concidered a personality disorder over there, but a schizophrenic disorder. That seems to make more sense to me, because it really is more like a milder form of schizophrenia. In the book "surviving schizophrenia" it says that schizotypal PD use to be called "borderline Schizophrenia" I've also heard that schizotypal PD is common in people who have a family history of schizophrenia.

....i kind've think it should be concidered a form of schizophrenia and not a personality disorder.
