I don't know specifically what went down between ya'll, but be sure to express your concerns and give him the oppurtunity to act on them before tossing himout the door. If you have and he has failed to act, then sorry for the loss but at least you had tried. There will be other relationships in your life and you'll look back on it like a knot in the road, something that contributed to making who you are.
