One workaround for this bug which works for me (but may not work for you, who knows??!)...

When you go and edit your post, make sure you check the checkbox that says you want to preview your post. It seems that when you preview your post after editing it, it will retain all of the correct UBB code and stuff. (If you forget to check this box, just go back and edit your post again!)
