Can taking Wellbutrin XL cause a person to become depressed? I'm just wondering if that could be a side effect. I'm trying it to deal with anxiety issues and since I'm too sensitive for SSRI's I was told to try Wellbutrin. My doc told me I should really watch out for insomnia and a lot of restlessness, but I haven't had any of that. Ever since starting the med I've been feeling pretty depressed and blah. There is no reason for me to be feeling this way, so I'm guessing it's from the Wellbutrin.

Anyone else get this kind of effect? I check in with my doctor on Thursday and was probably going to mention this, but I don't want to get worked up about it if it is a side effect that will go away.
