My only complaint with the Seroquel is during the first couple weeks, it knocked me out fast, and when I woke the next morning, I felt full on drunk (knocking things over, bumping into things, slurred speech) for up to 4 hours (I was started on 100 mg). (Thank goodness for medical leave.)
Keep in mind, everyone is different, and you may not have any negative side effects. I've been on Seroquel for two months now, and it has definitely made a huge improvement in my mood swings, along with Lithium. And in that time, the side effects have subsided considerably; I still fell drowsy when I wake up, but it's nothing a hot shower and a couple cups of coffee doesn't take care of.
