i was a college jock and a law enforcement officer in another life...now i'm disabled.that said...i love working out.i joined a gym in december and go 4-5 times a week. i do 30-40 minutes on the treadmill each time. also i lift weights.i am fat..so weight loss is a partial goal but really i am looking to regain the strenght i had in my previous life. it made such a difference in my mental health and well being and up until the past year even tho i wasn't physically fit i still felt "strong."last year due to overmedication by my doc's i lost almost a whole year of memory and my life so it is important to regain control. plus i fell and injured my shoulder. so the gym is playing a huge part in my regaining control.this year my pdoc has noticed the change...i can now see him every 2 months instead of once a month. my t is impressed with the changes too as is my regular doc.i have lost almost 40 pounds since august, ,lowered my pulse, lowered some of my meds and feel much better.my favorite part of my workout is using the weight machines.in fact my regular doc told me i am getting "stocky" the other day...which for probably anybody else would not be a compliment but for fat ol' me...that is a great one...she said..."i can see your muscles!"stumpy is a happy camper once again
