Hi,
I had a blood test today at the doctors, not for HIV, it was for things the psychiatrist wanted to check.
The nurse washed her hands, then wiped my arm, the bin thing where they put the needles and everything in after they have been used, there was blood on the top, so when she put the wipe in, she didn't wash her hands again and got the cotton wool ball out.
I asked her to wash her hands again, because of the blood, think she was a bit

but she did.
Then she put her gloves on and did it, so I'm a bit worried incase - she got blood on her hand and on the cotton wool, that I had to use to hold over after she took the needle out.
I didn't see any on the cotton wool or her hand or my arm, but maybe a tiny bit could have been there and it got into the mark from the needle and I now have HIV
I did ask her and she said I'd be fine and she obvioulsy seen it on the bin and I told her.
So should I got for an HIV test or will I be ok?
Thanks
