So, I'm picking up and moving again -- to Minnesota, which is treasonous for a Wisconsinite -- but since I'm fond of both regular paychecks and health insurance, I said yes.
Better yet, the job was literally handed to me: The editor of this paper is someone I competed against for over a year here. He said he knew what I could do, needed a strong reporter, and it was mine if I wanted it.
It's in Fergus Falls, MN, which is closer to Fargo (insert bad-accent jokes here

) than anything else, and about 2.5 hours northwest of the Twin Cities. I poked around online and discovered that it was pretty much identical to where I live now, which, after all my complaining, I've actually sort of come to ... well, adjust to, anyway. (I'm not willing to admit to liking it.

)
No good breweries or cheese in MN, sadly, but hey: Life should be an adventure, right?
