There are a lot of activities I used to do and really enjoyed them. Watercolor painting was something I loved doing. Wish it would kick in again. Any ideas on how to get back to painting that has worked for you. It is a bit like writer's block perhaps? Haven't worked on my book since July either. Yet, my depression seems better. Painting was something that made me feel good about myself.

What do you paint? Landscape, flowers, realistic painting styles, abstract?

Where did you learn, how much time to you spend painting?

Anything to do with painting, though the only media I've really worked with is watercolor, I'd love to hear from anyone who paints.

Thanks
The Arists Way may work for you. Its a book by Julia Cameron...really good book.

I learned it form a relaly good artist who told me to think and decide what do i want - and i - "thrown into the water" - wasn`t told how exactly to do it - started painting the darker arts, leaving some white space...i used to hate any kind of color especially watercolor - because i felt i didn`t have control on it - and all the beautiful lines i draw with pencil - all the shapes were destroied. Now i paint with watercolor....no problem

I love painting figures- people and animals.
